Welcome
to GM6NX.COM > GB3FE.COM HOME PAGE
GB3FE is a
2M FM repeater located in Bandeath, near Stirling in
the Forth Valley and operated as an independent repeater
by Stirling District Amateur Radio Society with Wullie
McTaggart GM0MZB as the registered keeper.
Wullie
also built up the repeater and logic as well as
calibrating and commissioning it. Wullie does this
professionally as well as for fun and already has a well
proven record with the GB3OH repeater.
GB3FE is
not connected to Echolink or any nodes at this moment in
time as
no interest has been shown by anyone for doing so.
This
may change, so please check with the GB3FE repeater
project
HERE and if you have a
genuine interest in having the repeater linked in,
please make your interest known so it can be considered.
The effort
expended to link the repeater via a node will be
directly proportional to the interest /demand shown for
doing so, so do not be shy, speak up.

The
repeater project relies entirely on donations for its
upkeep and was financed initially by Stirling District
Amateur radio Society GM6NX.
Although
overheads are extremely low, voluntary donations are
welcome from anyone who uses the repeater.
£10 per
year would seem like a reasonable amount for a donation
but whatever you think is reasonable is OK.
If you
wish to make a donation to the repeater, please contact
GM6NX by contacting the treasurer Robert Tripney at

Some
images below, the antennas are 2 vertical antennas at
present, the actual repeater is a realigned Nokia BSR
with logic built by GM0MZB and a set of aluminium
cavities. The cavities were modified by Wullie GM0MZB
and Peter GM8GAX for a bit better and optimised
performance.
The
predictions below were made by Neil GM0HZI who did a lot
of the antenna and feeder work.
We will
add some pictures and perhaps some setup instructions
for more common radios as soon as we have more time.
